If I ask you about a popular sport in Korea. I think the first sport that you think is taekwondo.
Taekwondo is an originated sport and national sport of South Korea. It has emerged about 2000 years ago but it only became popular after World war II. This sport is about the fighting. It uses open hand and feet. It has many techniques the most of them is kicking and punching.
Taekwondo became to join with Olympic in 2000. After that, It has a popular sport in Olympic game and many people that interested in the sport pay attention with taekwondo. Many countries in Asia affected this sport from Korea. It make some countries has high compettion with this sport. Especially, Thailand and China.
Today, parents bring their children to learn taekwondon since their was young. They think taekwondo can help their children from danger and they can help yourself.

I used to think that I wanted to take class in Taekwondo, but i didn't. Anyway, I love watching Taekwondo competitions in Olympic games. It was really interesting.
